McDonalds coming to Promenade at Chenal

The Promenade at Chenal, an open-air mall in west Little Rock, broke ground yesterday for a new McDonald's. Some folks have opposed McDonald's coming to west Little Rock, but I'm glad to see it. We have a distinct lack of morning coffee places out here.

McDonald's is planning to re-invent itself.

According to a newspaper report this morning, McDonald's will end Wi-Fi fees in the U.S. in January. They are dropping a $2.95 fee for two hours. McDonald's sells coffee and wants to be a destination for people who want to sit and check their email. See here. You can check their Wi-Fi site.
