Ban iPhone gig filming.

Apple is planning to disable iPhone gig filming at concerts, etc., but read the comments on how to get around this fix. I was at a luncheon and filmed one of the speakers, so what?

See Glenn Reynolds' comments. Or get a Droid.

A new iPhone app helps you keep track of your sins. Just what I need. Let's see, I'm already using my iPhone to keep track of my car's mileage, my diet, and my blood sugar. And Google Maps keeps track of where I am.

According to the AP story, "Questions range from "Have I wished evil upon another person?" to "Have I used any method of contraception or artificial birth control in my marriage?" and users can check a box next to each sin they've committed."

I'm sure it includes "Have I coveted my neighbor's wife?" etc.

Since getting an iPhone about 6 months ago, I've been playing with apps. Why not? Here's one called Word Lens. The link says, "We know smartphones are becoming ubiquitous, and that they've already changed the world in small ways (pub quizzes, for one, just aren't the same any more), but Word Lens is one strong hint that the world as we know it is really, really changing. In the future, you may never again stare in confusion at a sign, menu or parking ticket in a foreign language. Our multi-lingual world just got the app it deserves"

Spanish is available.

iPhone users: check the alarms you have set in the Calendar. There may be a glitch associated with the switch to daylight savings time. I use this feature but I don't rely on it.

Michael S. Malone: AntennaGate -- the flaw in the new iPhone 4, may be a major turning point in Apple Computer.

On the other hand, Apple's 3Q income has just jumped 78 percent, mostly on the sales of the iPad.

Full disclosure: I just bought an iPhone and I llike it.
