Rush Limbaugh on the Marrianne Gingrich interview

Rush Limbaugh on the Marianne Gingrich interview. This is the one in which she says that Newt Gingrich ask her for an open marriage. But Newt had the courtesy to ask for permission. He says Bill and Hillary had an open marriage too, but you can't imaging Bill asking for permission.

Clinton and projection

Bill Clinton calls Rick Perry a "good looking rascal," but he adds, "“And he’s saying ‘Oh, I’m going to Washington to make sure that the federal government stays as far away from you as possible –while I ride on Air Force One and that Marine One helicopter and go to Camp David and travel around the world and have a good time.’ I mean, this is crazy.”

Isn't Clinton just projecting onto Perry just what he thought about riding on Air Force One? Sure he is. This is crazy.

Ann Althouse on Bill Clinton's upstaging of Obama. Bill Clinton is now president again! There is just no way to explain why either Clinton or Obama let this happen. See video.

Jason Tolbert reports that Bill Clinton made the following comment in a speech at Springdale recently:
“Since we are on the dole, we can’t enforce our own trade agreements,” Clinton said.  He stressed that Washington needs to focus on corporate treasuries and banks. Corporations need to invest more and banks need to loan more money to small businesses and individuals to stimulate the economy.
“We need to figure out whatever is needed to get that done,” he said. “What would make bankers feel good? Until that happens we aren’t going back” to a balanced and thriving economy.
Two things about this statement standout to me.  First, if this had been a prominent Republican in the state appearing with Rep. John Boozman, then that quote would be appearing in the press releases from the DSCC or the Lincoln campaign as another example of the Republicans supporting the fat cat bankers.
Second, if the goal for stimulating the economy is to make bankers “feel good” and make more loans to small businesses, then the recently passed Financial Reform Bill – which was heavily supported by Sen. Lincoln – needs to be scraped.  There was a universal groan from the banking community when that was passed and a general consensus that this would tighten up their ability to make more loans.

I believe the possibility of Hillary Clinton challenging Obama for the presidency in 2012 is a very real possibility. The Clintons and Obama have a rivalry going on. The Clinton's sense of entitlement can never be under-estimated. See here.

At that point the economy will be in shambles. Heath care reform will be more unpopular than it is now. Obama's numbers will be lower than they are now, etc.

Cringe

Bill Clinton is raffling himself off to pay Hillary's campaign debt. "How would you like to come to New York and spend the day with me?"

AP Report: More on Ken Gormley's book The Death of American Virtue: Clinton vs. Starr. Prosecutors were prepared to seek indictments of Bill and Hillary for their roles in the Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky affairs. Gormley says that Lewinsky believed that Bill Clinton lied about their affair during grand jury testimony.

Politico: In February 2010, Ken Gormley, a Duquesne University law professor, will publish a book entitled The Death of American Virtue dealing with Bill Clinton and Kenneth Starr, Monica Lewinsky and Susan McDougal. It will be a must-read. Will Clinton get his historical vindication? Of course not.

Gormley specializes in constitutional law and has written about Watergate and special prosecutors. He is the author of Archibald Cox: Conscience of a Nation.

Taylor Branch has a new book on Clinton called The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President. So far it sounds more interesting than Clinton's own memoirs. See Amazon.
