Reports say that SoS Hillary Clinton is fed up with a president "who can't make his mind up," and she is looking for an exit.

Obama wants Biden back. So I guess that means no VP run for Hillary.

I believe the possibility of Hillary Clinton challenging Obama for the presidency in 2012 is a very real possibility. The Clintons and Obama have a rivalry going on. The Clinton's sense of entitlement can never be under-estimated. See here.

At that point the economy will be in shambles. Heath care reform will be more unpopular than it is now. Obama's numbers will be lower than they are now, etc.

I predict right now that Hillary will resign as SofS and run against Obama in the 2012 Democrat primary. Other people are talking about this possibility.

Tony Blankley makes a plausible case for Hillary running in 2012. But wait, she always said she was not interested... ROTFL.

CNN: Hillary Clinton says she won't run for President again. I believe she means it, until she says she will run again.

Jennifer Rubin: Hillary has been a disappointment as secretary of state.

Rubin offers this speculation:

Had she stayed in the Senate, she might have inherited the mantle of liberal leadership from Ted Kennedy. Clinton might have been the one to pull a rabbit out of the hat to save health-care reform. But once again her ambition got the best of her and her self-image of super-smart, super-capable policy wonk led her to a poor career choice. Now, politics is filled with second and third acts, and maybe her political career will recover. But I’m not sure her reputation ever will.

A leftist Democrats may challenge Obama for the nomination in 2012. You may have noticed that Hillary has not been heard from on the health-care debate. Could she be the challenger?

I don't believe this has happened since 1980, when Ted Kennedy challenged Carter. He was unsuccessful of course.
